The basic rule: DPI and movement range

Mouse pad size mostly depends on your mouse sensitivity and the movement range you use while gaming or working.

  • High DPI: short movements, compact or standard formats are enough.
  • Low DPI: wide movements, XL or XXL formats are recommended.

Compact format — 260 × 210 mm

The choice for minimalist desks or LAN parties. It takes little space and is easy to transport.

Large format — 45 × 40 cm

A good balance between room and footprint, suited to regular gaming and mixed use.

XXL format — 90 × 40 cm

The reference format for complete setups. It covers keyboard + mouse, protects the desk and gives more movement room.

120 × 50 cm and larger

The very large format for big desks, dual screens and visuals that need more room.

When in doubt

Choose the larger size. A mat that is too large can hold the keyboard; a mat that is too small quickly becomes limiting.
