The four sizes you can customise online
Dimensions are shown as width × depth. Compare them with your desk before choosing.
Compact
26 × 21 cm
For your mouse alone, when space is limited and your movements stay short.
Large
45 × 40 cm
A dedicated mouse area that gives your movements more room.
XXL
90 × 40 cm
For your keyboard and mouse on one mat. Check the clear area to the right or left of your keyboard.
Large format
120 × 50 cm
For a desk with enough room for a broad surface and a larger design.
Measure the usable area of your desk
The full width of your desk is not always the space available for the mat. Your monitor stand, speakers, keyboard and other accessories may occupy part of it.
- Put your keyboard and accessories in their usual positions.
- Measure the width and depth of the area where the pad can lie flat.
- Mark out the proposed size with paper or a measuring tape, then try your usual movements.
For a desk mat, also check the room left for the mouse once your keyboard is in place. A very wide mat does not automatically mean a large movement area.
Look at your movements, not just DPI
Mouse DPI and sensitivity in your game or operating system work together. A high DPI setting does not automatically mean that a small pad will be enough.
- For gaming: try your sweeps and changes of direction with your usual settings, without changing your movements to fit the pad.
- For work: check that you can move across your screen and make your usual gestures without constantly reaching the edge.
- For mixed use: allow for the activity that needs the most space.
Leave some room around that movement area. The right size accommodates your gestures and fits your desk.
Mouse only, or keyboard and mouse?
A mouse-only pad gives you more freedom to move your keyboard and organise the desk. A desk mat holds both on one surface and brings the setup together visually.
The number of screens does not directly determine the size of your mat. The space taken up by their stands and the way you use the mouse are what matter.
